Pack with Me!
French pharmacy must-haves, and surviving a flight with a toddler.
We arrived in NYC yesterday, and right now our entire life fits into two suitcases each. I thought I’d show you what I brought back from the French pharmacy before moving to New York.
I packed my wardrobe essentials, my skincare essentials, and my favorite French pharmacy products. With such limited space, I had to be incredibly selective.
FACE
This Chanel cream is my everyday summer moisturizer.
Eau Thermale, my fav! I use it every time after a shower or after washing my face to rinse away any residue left by the water. Shower Cream
Violette FR Blush + Lip balm amour
BODY
Cicaplast Balm B5+ always handy for minor dryness, cuts, and even as a face mask, an all-purpose product. In the same vein, I also bought Cicabiafine to try it out, and I actually prefer it! The texture feels less dry and more comfortable on the skin.
Sunscreens: Love this one BASK or LA ROCHE-POSAY Anthelios
Then Biafine for after-sun / sunburns, a classic.
GISÈLE’S ESSENTIALS
Essential Cream for redness and dryness
For the bath the night before the flight and again in the evening.
EXTRA: TODDLER FLIGHT ESSENTIALS
Before this flight I packed way too many activities. I imagined we’d rotate through toys, books, snacks, and little games for hours. No no no. Gisèle slept for about 30 minutes on our 8-hour flight. Here are the three things that were genuinely useful and kept us sane.
Drinkable fruit pouches: A lifesaver during takeoff and landing. These are the ones I buy.
This Montessori book: Simple, engaging, and easy to hold on a plane. She kept coming back to it throughout the flight.
🌈A sticker book!!!!! The biggest success. If I had to repack for another long-haul flight tomorrow, these are the items I would bring first. I opened the books on the day we left, so she had never seen either of the books before. It’s a small detail, but I think it made all the difference!
